Suggest Treatment For Rapid Heart Rate And A Lump On The Throat
I just experienced an episode that I get every so often. My heart increases in beating, my throat feels like there is a lump on both sides, my forehead becomes warm and sweaty, and I feel very weak. I am currently dealing with blood clots in my entire left leg, the result of a knee replacement two years ago. About a year ago, a clot travelled to my lungs and it required a hospital stay for three days. I am on xarelto. About 10 years ago I had an episode of my heart beating 250 bpm and was in ICU. It took almost 18 hours for it to return to normal. This recent episode took about five minutes to return to normal.
The throat swelling, with warmth over forehead is of bit concern to rule out the possibility of thyroid disturbances causing secondary changes narrated as above.
If the swelling on throat is visible outside, please take a high resolution photo image of the same and get back to me with follow up discussion as an attachment given to evaluate very precisely please.
The treatment guidelines will be dependent upon the diagnosis only.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
