Suggest Treatment For Rapid Heart Rate And Chest Pain

I have been having pain in the center of my chest all day. I check my blood pressure and it is 156/96 with a heart rate of 106. The pain is in the center of chest and goes through to my upper back, some left shoulder discomfort. Should I go to the ER?

Chest pain in your case needs strict evaluation in the form of baseline ECG and 2 dimensional echocardiography.A cardiac enzyme study in the form of troponins will help to rule out organic or heart damage.Drugs like antihypertensives,anti platelet drug like Clopidogrel will help.The heart rate can be controlled by drugs like beta blockers like Metoprolol.Electrophysiological study will help to offer the need for radiofrequency ablation.Its extremely important that you visit ER soon to acquire medical intervention.Consult your cardiologist for further help.Post your further queries if any.
