Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Suggest Treatment For Rapid Heart Rate And Dizziness
I have had episodes of rapid heart rate and dizziness. I am a 37 year old marathon runner and usually have low blood pressure and low to normal heart rate. All of my blood work was normal and my chest X-ray showed no abnormalities. I have still been able to run and these episodes occur when I am sedentary. The doctor suggested that I may been having panic attacks but I do not feel stressed or fearful.
I think you should visit an endocrinologist and test thyroid hormone levels doing T3, T4 and TSH levels because hyperthyroidism may be a cause of your symptoms. Also, anxiety can cause them but first, you should exclude thyroid issues.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
