Suggest Treatment For Rapid Heart Rate And Hypothyroidism

I am a healthy 45 year old female. I have take thyroid medicine for hypothyroidism. The last couple of days it feels like my heart is racing. The school nurse checked my blood pressure 132/80 and my pulse was 110. I have a headache and am very tired. What could be going on?

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You have hypothyroidism and you are takin medicine for that.

Now you have rapid heart rate.

Many patients develop these type of symptoms while taking thyroid medicine. It is probably due to drug induced hyperthyroidism.

You should check your T3, T4. and TSH level. Then you need to set the dosage of your thyroid medicine according to report.

Consult your doctor and discuss with him.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any doubts then feel free to ask me. I will be happy to answer.
Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
