Was so week my potassium level was @ a 3, started cramping up very bad. took IV fluids, & potassium fluids to get me back some strength. But still ca t keep nothing down. Rapid weight loss is usually due to DM, hyperthyroidism, parasitic infection, depression, cachexia, CMV, HIV, some cancer causing developing pathology. You are suggested to get a thorough medical check up done. Get the required investigations, Imaging tests & blood workouts done.
Get physically examined & evaluated so that your treatment can start at the earliest. In the meantime, stay away from any factor causing stress & discomfort, take adequate water, soups, juice, ORS to help keep your Na, K electrolyte balance normal.
Take home made food rich in calcium, protein, iron & minerals. Take fruits & berries. Take vitamin supplements. Do regular exercises & maintain healthy food habits.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K,
