Suggest Treatment For Rash And Swelling In Bottom Lip

I have had a swollen bottom lip for about a year . On the right side of my mouth there is a rash and thickening of my skin. It doesn't itch or hurt it is really red all the time. I went to an allergist and found out that I'm allergic to nickel. He referred me to a dermatologist and she can't seem to figure out what it is. I have changed to organic lipstick and that hasn't work. I would like some advice on what type of specialist that I need to see!!!

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain swelling of botton lip seems to e due to Allergic Angioedema and can be due to some or the other form of allergies..
The rash can also be due to allergies but can also be due to Perioral Dermatitis..
The condition can be treated by either allergist or Dermatologist itself and you can consult another dermatologist and get evaluated..
As of now you can take anti allergics like Allegra or Levocetrizine ..
Do cool compresses over the lip as well as rashes..
Maintain a good hygiene of face and wash your face frequently throughout the day with a mild soap and water.
