One day after a procedure at the hospital where I was put under by propofol for the first time, I began to see a rash developing on my arms. The rash were small unraise red splotches that were itchy. I woke up the next day and found them to be even worse. I went to a StatHealth near by and was prescribed benadry and predinsone 20mg. The rash faded by was still present. The next day, today, I woke up with my face and lips swollen and the rash was much worse. I took benadryl, predinsone, and antivan for anxiety I was having then I went to the hospital right away, and was taking in. The doctors immediately treated me for an allergic reaction. After being watched for 5 hours, I was allowed to be discharged with a prescription for an Epipen, famotidine 20mh, and predinsone 20mg. It is now night in the end of the day, and my anxiety is causing me to feel shortness of breath and a constricted feeling at the top of my throat. Now I am not sure if it s my anxiety or another reaction where I would have to use the Epipen. So I took on more lorazepam to calm my anxiety symptoms, but am still feeling uneasy. I am afraid to go to sleep because if I have an allergic reaction in my sleep will I wake up to take the Epipen?
