I m taking Truvada like 10 years ago with is issentres ,,,like 6 month ago I switch to Tivicay ,but like a week ago after I took Truvada and Tivicay I got skin rash I m my front and my back body from my waist to my neck.i want to know which make my allergy,,,,I m allergy to atripla
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of rashes all over the body while on Truvada which due to increased skin sensitivity to medication and compromised immunity of body. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to:-
- Apply cold compresses to the affected area .
- Take aspirin or acetaminophen for itchiness and burning sensation.
- Avoid sun exposure.
- Apply broad spectrum sunscreen with SPF 15 even if you are not under sun exposure.
- Drink plenty of water .
- Take over the counter anti allergic drug like benadryl or zyrtec .
