Suggest Treatment For Rashes On The Chest And Hands
I ve had a random rash that comes and goes since Dec. I m seeing a dermatologist but nothing has helped and it appears in different places-primarily chest, wrist, and hands. Add to that weight gain, fatigue, and significant hair loss. My last check up all blood work was normal.
Hi. As per your case history you are having urticaria. My treatment advice is - 1. Avoid fast food and food with artificial colors. 2. Don't take any medication without consulting a doctor as it may worsen the condition. 3. Apply a soothing lotion like calamine lotion on affected region twice daily. 4. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for 2 months. 5. Other treatment options are oral steroid, oral hydroxyzine, colchicine taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
Thanks. Dr. Harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
