Suggest Treatment For Rashes On The Face When Diagnosed With Hives

I have developed a rash suddenly on my face and my neck and my legs does not itch. I have had two months of hives day and night and have been taking Benadryl form. I have lupus cells that cause my blood to coagulate and I m on Coumadin. I m wondering if the rash is a lupus trash.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, chronic hives always indicate immune disturbances underlying particularly in a case who has Lupus history.

Particular blood antibodies detection in the form of anti-DS DNA, serum IgE levels as well as HLA subtypes are of immense value to proceed further in this regard.

Treatment depends upon the control of immune response with monoclonal antibodies, steroids and else rather than Benadryl.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
