Suggest Treatment For Rashes On The Hand And Wrist

Hello Doctor, My son is 10 years old, He is having some rashes on his hand near the wrist. I showed him to the doctor, the doctor conducted blood and allergy test and he said that it is dust allergy . He prescribed L-cet and some other tablet and asked to apply Elica cream. Now almost a week, still the rashes (black in color) are spreading. He had parotitis and lymp nodes problem. But I noticed that after taking eggs it got worsened. Can you please advise what to do?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of rashes on the hand and wrist which seems to be due to eczema due to use of cosmetics products , pets , pollens , certain viruses and bacteria , weather, excessive exposure to sunlight. In your case the probable reasons is seasonal allergy and due to hormonal changes. I would suggest you to keep yourself away from open environment. You should use air condition and continue taking anti histamine like benadryl and apply cold compresses to affected area and apply moisturizer . If condition doesn't get improve or get worse then consult allergy specialist for proper examination . Doctor will take history and try to find out the trigger factor . Doctor may order allergy test . Doctor may give adrenaline short or may hospitalize . Do not scratch your skin and protect it from direct sun light by covering it .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
