Suggest Treatment For Rectal Bleeding When Diagnosed With Haemorrhoids
Hello. I have bleeding hemorrhoids and when I urinate in the toilet, I always fear that when I have backsplash on my bleeding anus, I could get HIV or something (especially on public toilets). Another huge paranoia that I developed is that if I have a fresh cut (hemorrhoids area or anywhere else like on my hands for example) and I touch anything with those places or for example wipe my anus or other places with a wet towel I could get hiv as well. Am I too paranoid? Thank you.
Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein, I understand your concerns and I will try to help you as much as I can. Hemoorhoids are causing bleeding very often since these are protrusions of veins in rectal wall and there are several stages of hemorrhodal disease and the right treatment depends on type and stage of the disease. Initially it can be treated with dietary changes by having hogh fibre diet with lot of fluids and make your stool soft. There are supplemets such as Psilium and Detralex which may help as well. Also, you should use sitz baths and have hemorrhoidal cream. Second, it can be treated with rubber ligation or sclerosation and in severe stages, the surgery is recommended but for this you should consult proctologist. I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us in every time. Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
