Suggest Treatment For Recurrent Blood Clot In Legs
I found out the other day I have a blood clot in my leg,i have had clots in the same leg three separate times in the last ten years approximately 3 years apart, now this time I was at the doctors for a different reason and the nurse decided to have my leg have an ultrasound done on it and she did not know too much about clots and asked me what I wanted to do about it and she suggested surgery and when I seen the surgen he said she basically had know buisseness sending me there because I was already on blood thinners and my clot should dissolve naturally.Acording to him its been there a while and I want it disolved
Blood clots in the leg veins can be dangerous because a piece from such clots can get detached and enter the blood circulation and can block an artery to a vital organ like lungs, heart or brain.
This can cause problems, at times life threatening also. Hence you need to consult your doctor and find out the reason for repeated formation of clots in your leg veins.
You are already on blood thinners which you should continue under supervision of your doctor. He may suggest changing the dose of blood thinners.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Shashi Dangwal
