Suggest Treatment For Recurrent Bruising On Lower Back And Left Ankle Pain

My 3yr old son seems to get repeat bruises on the same spot on his lower back. It s usually only on one side, lasts a few days, fades and then comes back in the same spot. Most recently he s been complaining that his legs hurt, especially his left ankle. It seems to get better but then comes back. I took him to the doctor who said he probably just sprained it. There s no bruising or swelling on his ankle. I was wondering if there could be any correlation between the two, and/or what could be causing it.

Hello,

I don't think there can be a correlation between the two. Anyway you can do a complete blood count and biochemical blood balance to evaluate his situation.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
