Suggest Treatment For Recurrent Cough

I have had a cough for three months. I have had an x Ray, had two courses of anti biotin the second with steroids. Both times the cough has stopped but two days after finishing the course the cough has returned. I also have a continous salty taste in my mouth

The most common reasons for chronic cough are : (1) post nasal drip
(2)asthma
(3)GERD

Post nasal drip is the most common of the three. It can be silent where the person is not aware of the drip.
It is normally provoked by a reaction to an allergen and treated with oral antihistamines, topical steroid nasal sprays and avoidance of the allergen if it is known.

GERD (reflux) can also cause persistent coughing. If you use the above treatment consistently over at least a 2 to 3 week period with no improvement then it is possible that reflux is contributing to your problem.

It is treated with lifestyle diet changes and medication.
