Suggest Treatment For Recurrent Cystic Acne

So I get cystic acne regularly. This particular pimple started out tender and became squishy. Typically after a hot shower I can pop the squishy ones. When I pop them a thick stream of pus jets out, then it swells, overnight it scabs and heals after a few days. Not this time. Of course the jet stream of pus came rushing out. It swelled. I went to bed hoping it would scab while I slept. I woke up to find a bubble slightly smaller with two tiny holes leaking clearish red fluid, on its own. It s been doing this now for weeks non stop. The fluid is never ending. I m worried its infection and when it finally does heal, if ever, I will be left with a huge gaping scar. What is this?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

If it is persistently oozing for weeks then it is possible that it is infected and oral antibiotics may be needed.

A course of oral antibiotics would also be effective in helping your acne, it is one of the treatment regimens for severe acne.
In addition the use of topical or oral retinoids may be needed if it is so severe.

You should consult a your GP or a dermatologist who would be able to prescribe some meds to help clear the skin.

I hope this helps
