Suggest Treatment For Recurrent Shingles

I am 76 years old last oct.. I had shingles, the pain is still more than I would want, I am using ice packs and Gold Bond antil itching cream. I have notice that if I am concerning about even a small matter this seems to make the recurrence worse. It is now over eight months, what are the chances of this going any time soon. Please....

Hey, pain from shingles can be very worse.
i would recommend you using carbamazepeine 100mg BID for pain.

As far as recurrences are concerned, that occurs due to some other causes, causing immunosuppression e.g. diabetes. You should get it checked by some internist to work up for recurrences.
