Suggest Treatment For Recurring A Fib

I have had arhythmia fibrillation happening 2-3 time a week, usually early mornings, some 3-4 minutes and then 10-15 minutes. This is much more often than in the past, as this has occurred for over a decade or more. I am 85 and seen heart specialist and was ask to do the monitor for a month and of course nothing happened in that month. Is there any treatment I might do or have to lower serious potential problems?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Recurrent atrial fibrillation is best managed with endocardial ablation of the aberrant ectopic focus such as at SA node, AV node or pulmonary veins site. Second alternative would be that of temporary or permanent pacemaker if the anti arrhythmic medications fail to respond so.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
