Suggest Treatment For Recurring Bacterial Vaginosis
Hi, I have been suffering from bacterial vaginosis for 10 years on and off....I went to the gynocologist about 4 months ago and once again I had BV.....I took flagyl only for it to comeback after my menstrual cyle. I do not have health insurance at the moment, but right now I have it really bad...I used vh essentials for 6 days which normally clears me up in a day or two, but his time only helped it...I have been trying home remedies, and again, just help a little only for it to come back full force. I am at my wits end....HELP ME PLEASE...p.s. I am married and in a completely monogamous relationship.
* The underlying cause of recurrence is mandatory to be evaluated which can be an immunocompromised stage, hygiene issues, tampon related problems, undiagnosed associated bacterial, fungal or another lesion.
* Kindly discuss the need for specific staining techniques for a swab of the cervix and consult back with the response afterward, please.
Merely taking metronidazole every time, is not a solution for a lifetime.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
