Suggest Treatment For Recurring Boil On Cheek

I have what I would call a boil on my left cheek right against my nose and under my left eye. It has been there for 2 weeks and I have used a wash cloth with very hot water and drained it several times cleaned it with alcohol and used an anti-biotic cream and it shrinks some and then swells back up. Should I go to the ER?

Hi,

I can understand your concern for the recurring boil on cheek area. After analyzing your query I can make a possibility of either a cystic acne or a sebaceous cyst.

In your kind of cases an incision and drainage of the cyst is quite important. I suggest yo to not to do self drainage of he area as some of the pus can remain inside and then can cause recurrence. A course of proper antibiotic might be required for the same. You can meet a doctor and get the best guidance for the same.
All the best
