Suggest Treatment For Recurring Ear Infection

I have had ear infections my entire life, most when I was younger. about once or twice a year now as an adult I get this full feeling and its harder to hear. Also the ear crackles and its hard to hold a phone up to it as it crackles. any thoughts as to why this would continue to do this? This is also the ear that is my worse ear as far as hearing goes.
I have had no ear infections for a while now (about 2 years or so) but every year this continues to happen.

It may not be ear infection, but it just could be wax in the ear.Take the advice of some E.N.T doctor. He may prescribe you some wax softener or clean it.In the meanwhile you should keep your ears dry & water should not be allowed to go into ear particularly while taking a bath.
