Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
sir my son age20 years wt 80 kg,4 years before fell down back side with fainting after urination at night ,second time one month before in morning while brushing this time he was in the hostel[doing B.tech] taken to local hospital ecg,lft,eeg,kft/sodium /potassium all the test were normaal doctor started valprol cr 500 mg 2 times daily but he was not able to study after this so he him self reduced to 250 daily 2 dosesnow he is comparatively comfortable should ihe stop medicines
Valprol may cause side effects of sleepiness and tremors, which may interfere with the normal activity of patient. Usually these effects become less on its own gradually. Hence, any changes in the dosage must be done with consultation of your doctor. In my opinion, 500 mg daily dose to start with is inadequate. Daily dose to start with seems minimum necessary dose in your case.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Satnarain Bansal, General & Family Physician
