Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have open re-occuring sores that open on my nose. They last almost 2 wks or more, and then in a few days they come back. I have been to see doctors that took a sample and said its not cancer. My GP has given me antibiotics. Everyone is stumped. They leak pus and bleed and continue to different spots on my nose. Even my doctor is at a loss.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain nasal sores that are recurring and cause bleeding and pus discharge can be due to causes like clogged pores, infected sebaceous glands, bacterial infection leading to Impetigo etc..
I would suggest you to consult a Dermatologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like pus culture and microscopic examination of the scrapings from the sores can help in diagnosis.. You can be advised to take a course of antibiotics orally and along with it clean the area with antiseptic solution and apply a Triple Antibiotic Ointment over it.. Avoid scratching the area as it can spread the infection..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
