Hi,

Thank you for providing the brief history of you.

Recommend you to undergo the muscular assessment for the abdominal muscles, pelvic floor muscles and lower limb muscles.

As mentioned by you about the recurrent UTI, it is understood that the medicine treatment is provided on the symptomatic issues. Also, to help to understand better that why the UTI becomes recurrent little knowledge of the UT is needed. As when you pass the urine, the bladder is suppose to get completely empty and in your case it is not happening due to the weakness of the abdominal and pelvic floor muscles. These muscles act as a support system to apply pressure on the bladder and UT to completely empty the urine which in your case is a week muscles and not allowing it to happen.

I will advice you to strengthen the Core muscles, pelvic floor and lower limb muscles especially the gluteus in the lower limb for allowing the UT and bladder to get completely empty. Also, after finishing urination sit for 30 seconds extra to empty the bladder fully and also clean the part with water.

I have seen may female and male with UTI and I advised them the same. With the help of the physical therapy they got strength in the muscles and were able to empty the bladder to the fullest. I have 100% success rate in my patients with UTI irrespective of the age and gender.

As mentioned, the combination of medicine and exercises will help improve the avoid of UTI frequently and the issue can be resolved on a permanent scale.

I wish you also recover well
