Suggest Treatment For Red Blotchy Spots On Feets

I have burning and sore palms and soles of my feet. The palms of my hands have red blotchy spots. The soles of my feet are red and tender, includes mostly the soles of my heels and pad of my foot just behind my toes. The bottoms of toes are red and tender. There is a yellowish scaly coating on the sole of my heels more so around the periphery of he soles of my heels. Usually, my symptoms of redness and soreness worsen as the day progresses.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to peripheral neuropathy. I recommend using an over the counter painkiller such as Ibuprofen 400 mg. If the symptoms continue, I suggest using a prescription painkiller such as Gabapentin or consult a neurologist.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
