Reddish bumpy rash appeared this afternoon on lower legs, posteriorly, and on front chest/abdomen. He was ill 7 days ago with initial 1 day temp, very sore throat and swollen tonsils. He was better 2 days later and went to school for 2 days then off for holiday. He just slept too soundly thias am so he stayed home waking in late morning but in no pain at all.

Need not to worry. You should wash area with neutrogena oil free. Apply Adapalene gel once at night. Take antibiotic like azithromycin 500 mg. If condition doesn't improve in a month then consult dermatologist for proper evaluation. Doctor may start treatment after complete examination. Wash these areas with mild soap and cold water twice a day , exfoliate your skin once a week , apply aloe vera gel and apply azelaic acid containing cream twice a day.
