Suggest Treatment For Red Bumps On The Feet And Rashes
My doctotor prescribed antibacterial Azithromycin tablet with 500mg 1st day and 250mg eachday for 5 days. I had mild case of bronchitus. After completing my prescription my feet broke out in tiny red bumps and itched like crazy. I thought they were chiggers since I had been mowing my lawn. They have progressed up my legs..They start out looking like small pimples with a white head inside. I have been reading the adverse reactions to the antibiotic and see where skin rash is possible.
Yes, itchy bumps and rashes can occur after antibiotic intake as a side-effect or rather an allergic reaction. So, first of all, you should get it checked by an Emergency room that what exactly it is.
It can also be a staph infection. However, chances of an allergic reaction are high.
So my suggestion is to take anti allergic medicine like Fexofenadine or Levocetirizine if there is itching and apply a combination of steroid and antibiotic ointment like Betnovate GM for relief.
Do cool compresses or ice packs over the rashes and bumps. Avoid scratching harder.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
