Suggest Treatment For Red Bumps On The Thigh

I had a couple of small red bumps on my thigh. Looked a bit like a pimple. Redness spread a little, then the skin became very dry on and around the area. I had pneumonia last year with MRSA and curious if this could have any thing to do with the little bumps and red area. YYYY@YYYY

Hi,

As per your query, you have symptoms of red bumps on the thigh which seems to be due to hair follicle infection leading to folliculitis and it could be due to an allergic reaction.

Need not to worry. You should wear loose clothes and avoid sharing them with anyone. You should avoid touching or pricking bumps. I would suggest you apply topical antibacterial ointment and wear loose clothes. You should take a course of oral antibiotics. Maintain complete hygiene and keep the area little dry. Visit dermatologist once if symptoms keep on persisting. Start treatment after a complete examination and proper prescription.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
