Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Suggest Treatment For Red Eyes, Lethargy And Wheezing In A Child
My son is 5 1/2 . Lately been showing signs of red eyes, very lathargic, grumpy, and wheezing (but only when we put our ear on his chest). No fever. Stools are normal. Appetite is normal. Has only grown an inch in 6 months. (Just thinking of everything to say) raspy voice, When he is grumpy he says I m tired ... Might be an excuse at the moment, but I really feel like he is more tired than normal. Any help would be great, waiting for his normal pediatrician to be covered by our insurance.
Your son may be having a viral infection of the upper respiratory tract. On the other hand, feeling lethargic is something that warrants a visit to check his lungs, throat and other organs and rule out other conditions that may need treatment (antibiotics for instance).
I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.
Regards,
Antoneta Zotaj,
