Suggest Treatment For Red Inflamed Tonsils

I took my daughter to the urgent care clinic because of red inflamed tonsils. Both left and right sides have white pus pockets and some black spots. A throat culture was done and resulted in negative for strep. A blood test was also done testing for mono, negative result. She is 15 y/o 63 inches 153 lbs. No fever, no vomiting, no diarrhea. Symptoms present for 3 days. NKA. Is a strep-a carrier. Has psoriasis on upper body (front and back). Current meds: ciprox shampoo, clobetal foam, dovenex Diagnosis a virus. Go home and gargle with scope and use Halls honey lemon drops for comfort.

Presence of pus i likely to be due a bacterial infecion and it would be advisable meet your doctor as she should be started on a course of antibiotics. Meanwhile you should ask her to gargle and use lemon honey drops. Please meet your doctor again.
