Suggest Treatment For Red Patches On The Thigh

current medical history: double hernia surgery one year ago and presently with phlebitis in left leg for over 4 weeks now. received an ultrasound at md office and deep veins were clear ( 7 days ago). Yesterday I noticed a very red patch of skin about the size of a hand print at the inner top thigh of each leg extending upward to the lower half of my abdomen. there have been a few needle-like pains on the upper abdomen surface, but of no significance and the red area has no itching or pain? any thoughts?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It can be dermatitis.
As a first line management you can apply low potency topical steroids like Betamethasone for symptomatic relief.
If the lesion persists, better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
