Suggest Treatment For Red Rashes Under The Breast

Hi, I have a red rash under my left breast, on the under part of my breast, in the crease and chest bone area. It is about 2 thirds across the bottom of breast. Bra is very irritating and makes it very itchy. There are several small bump type marks maybe 10 like a raised rash.. ranging in small mole size to a bit larger like the size of a wart but not a wart.. was wondering if I should get it looked at in our local medical care emergency unit.. in the meantime what could it be and what can I use to help heal it.? Thank you in advance..

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

A rash under the breast area is generally due to a fungal infection. I would advise you to use local antifungal creams such as miconazole or clotrimazole.

Meanwhile, try to use cotton cloths and avoid a very tight bra.

If you notice no improvement with this treatment in 4-5 days, it is best that you see a doctor.

I hope this answers your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
