Suggest Treatment For Red Spots Appearing On The Face

Hi,
My 5 year old daughter had a stomac flu for 5 days with 39C temperature. Urine test showed proteins in urine and higher white cells count so she got some antibiotic but even before that I noticed some red spots on her face that would come and fade spontaneously in several minutes so it can't be reaction to medicine. Today she had those red spots on her forehead, they are not raised or bumpy, no particular shape, not itchy, not that small, don't bother her, it looks like she pressed her fingers against the forehead and it stayed that way, but she didn't touch her face. Those "stamps" come and go several times a day. What could it be?
Thanks

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query your daughter have red spots appearing on the face which could be due to allergic reactions to substances causing irritation of the skin , dermatitis, or eczema , contact dermatitis. Need not to worry. you should apply topical benzoyl peroxide gel once or twice daily would have been best in this type of situation. I would suggest you to apply cold compresses on them , take anti histamine like bendryl , do not pick them at all and apply moisturizer. You can apply combination of topical adapalene + nadifloxacin gel at night. If condition doesn't get better then consult dermatologist for proper examination and rule out cause like bullous pemphigoid . Doctor may prescribe corticosteroid or antibiotics course .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
