Suggest Treatment For Red Spots On Upper Legs And Stomach

I have noticed after working out or sitting in the sun, clothed, I get red spots on my upper legs and stomach, they are not raised and do not itch. They do go away after a short time but it is very alarming when they first appear! They are the size and shape of the end if a pencil eraser. Is this something to be concerned about?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per your case history, you are having a fungal infection called as tinea corporis. My treatment advice is -
1. Maintain good hygiene and bath twice daily.
2. Apply an anti-fungal cream like Clotrimazole cream twice daily on it.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like Levocetirizine twice daily for 7-10 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral Fluconazole, Itraconazole, and Terbinafine taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
