Suggest Treatment For Redness And Swelling In Eyes

Hi had plastic surgery on lower eyes, inside bottom there are dissolved stitches but my eyes see to be getting more red and swollen over time. Its been 8 days. I was prescribed a steroid eye drop but doesn t seem to make much difference. Can these stitches be removed or do I have to wait for them to completely disolve. They are an irritant to my eyes.

Hello
Welcome to health care magic.

I reviewed your history.
Plastic surgery on eyelids is done by using absorbable sutures. Since the sutures are already dissolved they cannot be removed.
The presence of lid edema and irritation indicate inflammation induced by surgery.
This requires treatment by the use of steroids, hot compression and antiinflammatory drugs.

Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
