Suggest Treatment For Redness On The Arm Of A Child

My son had ano area on his arm about the size of a half dollar about 10 days ago. The redness has decreased but there is a center the looks like a bite and it is hardening underneath his skin. He hasn t complained about it hurting. Do you think this is a spider bite? Should we see his doctor?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thanks for posting on HCM
It could be a spider bite, bite from any other organism or other skin issues like local irritation, infection...Since it has been there and no other symptoms have been noticed, i will advise you just observe. It may not be a cause for concern. If redness increases or it becomes painful, you see the Doctor for evaluation.
Hope this will help
Best regards
