General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Prior to Rituximab, steroid premedication is given which is the reason for elevated blood sugar levels. Moreover, any systemic inflammation can cause pain and redness in the body which is not a cause of concern. You will be alright in a couple of days.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Loveleen Sharma, General & Family Physician
