Suggest Treatment For Reducing Blood Sugar Level

Hello sir my age is 25 years and weight was 112.just went for the sudden medical chk up, my sugar pp came out to be 212 and sgpt level was 7.2. Now i have reduced my sugar level to 130 and weight to 99 after walking continuosly for 1 hour daily for 50 days. I usually have a slight pain in upper right portion of my abdomen.so just want to ask how increased sgpt can be reduced and what kind of problem it can cause. Does walking daily helps in reducing sgpt levels?

Diabetologist 's  Response
Slight elevation of Liver enzymes or Transaminases like in your case need no treatment. The most common cause in the given scenario would be a fatty liver. It is due to combination of elevated blood sugars and body fat. Well the good news is that you are on the right direction by losing weight. Please repeat your liver function test after 2 months to see the changes in SGPT. Mostly the treatment for elevation of liver enzymes is started only when they cross 2.5times the normal value.
All the best
