Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been told I have a form of rheumatoid arthritis, but since my bloodwork doesn t confirm it completely, I just take meds for it. I do take plaquenil and have been taking it for about 2 years now. I have severe pain in both my feet, just when I move them they hurt. It hurts all over, underneath the foot as well as the tops of my feet. My wardrobe depends on what kind of shoe my feet will feel comfortable that particular day. Also, I have been having pain/swelling in both my hands, the right being worse. I already have had two separate operations in both right and left middle fingers for the trigger finger. At this point I don t know if I need another operation on my fingers (I dread that I have to get all ten fingers eventually operated on), but at this point I cannot make a fist. Please give me your input. Thanks!

Hi,
Rheumatoid arthritis pain can be managed with anti rheumatic drugs, after physical examination by rheumatologist. Such drug and physiotherapy can reduce pain &also progress on the disease is slowed down.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
