Hi,I am Raju.A.T (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had pain in my right foot for the last hour on so it just came on whilst sitting down it is across the top of my foot (inline with the arch) I am thinking it is cramp I have had it in my toes before but never in my actual foot. At the moment it is too painful to stand on it.
* As per my clinical experience, the severe pain in foot with difficulty in standing indicates severe inflammation involving tendon or ligament making arch of the foot over plantar fascia.
Guidelines for better recovery
- immerse the leg in tub filled with lukewarm water added epsom salt
- local application of analgesic spray or ointment with Linseed oil or capsaicin
- analgesic medicines as diclofenac or tramadol hydrochloride after meals with antacid
- use soft padded slippers for walking
- avoid tight or ill fitting shoes
- do not entertain walking barefoot
- control of blood sugar
* Consult your doc for need of an x-ray or MRI as per the improvement in follow up period.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
