Suggest Treatment For Ringing In Ears And Dizziness
Hi, I have always had ringing in my ears which usually is only loud enough to bother me when I have a head cold or have been somewhere loud. I notice that it is stronger on the right side. I have never had an issue with ear wax and the only time I remember noises being this loud was when I perforated my ear drum several years ago (still a mystery as to how I did it, no infection or damage just the perforation) \i\n the last week or so it has gotten much worse. I have been taking Lexapro (ssri) since July 2013 and am gradually reducing my dose (I tried cold turkey and became very dizzy and almost associative). I also take Solgar Vitamin B complex. I started taking them a week ago. Could it be the medication interaction causing the tinnitus?
There are medications that can cause tinnitus but lexapro is not known to have this effect.
The vitamin complex should also not be causing this issue.
Tinnitus can be related to different causes such as: (1) age related hearing loss (2)infection (3)trauma (4)side effect of medication (5)anemia (6)ear wax (7)meniere's disease
I hope this helps
