Hi, So I take Hydromorphine for my foot (Just had surgery on it) anyway so I am now stopping taking it, well last night I had a 1mg pill early in the morning... Well I smoked some weed (Regular User) later that night, and my ears started to ring really, really, really loud... I looked up that Dilaudid (Hydromorphine) can cause ringing in ears... Do you know what this is from?
The symptoms you mention in query are because of condition known as tinnitus . Tinnitus can occur due to may reasons like stress , TMJ , ear infection , wisdom tooth and acoustic neuroma . But in your case it seems to me that that drug ( dilaudid ) is causing this problem as a side effects . Moreover the weed smoking making it owrse . I would suggest you to immediately stop smoking weed , drink plenty of water , take proper rest and eat healthy . Consult your doctor and discuss this problem with him , so that he,she can alter the dose of medicine or prescribe some substitute .
