Suggest Treatment For Rosacea Infection Near The Eyes
I have been diagnosed with rosacea. My doctor has changed her hours and I can t schedule an appointment. The rosacea has now gone to the inside corner of my right eye - the one with the lens (had a cataract removed and lens implant). Most doctors in my area are scheduling from October out so that s no help now. 1. do I need to worry about damage to the lens? 2. is there something over the counter I can take (I ve been prescribed doxycyclene & had good results). Thanks, Audre
Usually, if rosacea is affecting eyelids, we advise to : - apply warm compresses several times during the day - and gentle cleansing with a mixture of baby shampoo (1 part) with 5 parts warm water, rinse well
1. You should get worried if the eye will be very irritated, dry and itchy
If unbearable and cannot contact your eye doctor, should apply antibiotic drops. Can discuss with family doctor.
2. Yes, you can use doxycycline eye drops if you have any.
All the best. Dr.Albana Sejdini
