Suggest Treatment For Runny Nose And Ear Pain

Had a cold. Other symptoms ended in a few days. Nose has been running for three weeks. Discharge is mostly clear with a few white flecks. Now ear and teeth hurt (throbbing) and throat is sore to the touch on the outside below ear at jaw bone (one side only). Infection requiring antibiotics?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that cold along with runny nose and sore throat is due to Upper Respiratory Tract Infection and it has also Led to Ear infection and sinus infection known as SINUSITIS leading to pain in teeth and face..
Tenderness of neck by the jaw can be due to swollen tonsils and inflamed lymph nodes..
Consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a throat swab culture, PNS view or MRI Scan of sinuses and Otoscopic examination of ears can be diagnostic..
You can be advised a course of antibiotics like Augmentin, anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen or Naproxen, decongestant like Phenylephrine, saline nasal irrigation, anti allergics like Levocetrizine, steam inhalation and use of humidifier in your room..
Antibiotic and analgesic ear drops can also be advised.
