Suggest Treatment For Ruptured Blood Vessel In Eye

I woke yesterday morning with what looks like several ruptured blood vessels in my left eye. Doesn t hurt necesarily, but itchs some. Looks even more pronounced today. What could cause this & should I get it checked? There was no injury or irritation to my eye that I remember.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It may be subconjunctival Hemorrhage. Are you on any blood thinner medication like aspirin?

Are you hypertensive/diabetes. A sudden increase in blood pressure that can result from heavy lifting, coughing, sneezing, laughing and constipation. Or any blood clotting disorder. Better checked.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr C.ELANCHEZHIAN, General & Family Physician
