Hello,
Welcome to the magical world of health care,
I went through your query, and I would like to know is this some dead skin on the site you are talking of, and it is deep enough, as such lesions take long time to heal on the ankle and in many cases surgical intervention is also required.
I hope my advice would have been useful, in decision making regarding your treatment, still if you have any clarifications or doubts feel free to contact back.
Thanks.
I find this answer helpful
