Suggest Treatment For Scabies

Hello. I was diagnosed with scabies couple of days ago, via a visual diagnosis. I had a first treatment of permethrin Sunday and have intense itching and swelling of the bumps I had. A few of them have also developed a halo or ring around the bump. I am looking for answers, been to 3 doctors and am still trying to figure it out. HELP!

Hello,
Thanks for the query,

Its good that you have taken treatment with permethrin.

Don't worry the itch takes time to go.

you can take an anti histamine tablet for the itch

This will control the itch.

Usually the itch remains for longer time even after the infection is controlled.

All the members of the house need to be treated to prevent re-occurance.

The clothings along with the bedsheet need to be washed daily and dried under direct sunlight.

Sharing of towel should be avoided.

Please meet a dermatologist for exact diagnosis.

And get the medication prescribed.
