Hello!
I have been through your question.
According your concern you should know that scabies is a skin infestation caused by a very tiny mite (
Sarcoptes scabiei). These microscopic mites can live on your skin for up to two months. They reproduce on the surface of your skin and then burrow into your skin and lay eggs and this causes a very itchy, pimple-like
rash to form on the skin. YOu should be aware that scabies is a highly contagious condition that can easily be passed from one person to another through direct skin contact, or may also be transmitted through infested clothing or bedding (sharing clothing, bedding, or towels that have been used by someone with a scabies infection) . After the initial exposure to scabies, it can take up to six weeks for symptoms to appear. The symptoms usually develop more quickly in people who’ve had scabies before, as you have. Furthermore some people with scabies may develop another form of scabies known as
Norwegian scabies or crusted scabies. This is a more severe and extremely contagious type of scabies. What usually I suggest to use for scabies is 5 percent
permethrin cream or 25 percent
benzyl benzoate lotion or 10 percent sulfur ointment. But for the better result it is recommended to apply the medicine at night when the mites are most active and may need to treat all of your skin from the neck down. The medicine can be washed off the following morning. Usually I suggest as well, antihistamines lotion or
steroid cream for itching, and antibiotic if exist there an infection. However, after the first week, you’ll notice less itching and you should be completely healed by the fourth week of treatment. Be careful, if your skin that hasn’t healed within a month may still be infested with scabies mites and wash all clothing (clothing, bedding, towels, pillows) in hot water that reaches 122°F . Anyhow you should know that exist an oral tablet called
ivermectin, which the doctor can give to people who don’t see an improvement in symptoms after initial treatment, have crusted scabies, or have scabies that covers most of the body.
I hope my answer help you.I wish a quick recovery.
