Suggest Treatment For Scalp Psoriasis While On Calcitriol

I have scalp psoriasis, and have been prescribed to apply an ointment with clobetasol propionate and calcitrol. However, the process of application is not very effective and time consuming unless I shave my hairs off. So is it possible to dilute the ointment in a neutral mineral hair oil, which is much easier to apply to the scalp with a dropper ? If I do, will it affect the active ingredients ?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the dilution of the ingredients will make it less effective against the non-diluted state.

You can discuss further use of oral medications, steroid preparations as well as immune-modifying drugs with monoclonal antibodies having the best results in these issues when you visit your doc for the follow-up.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
