Suggest Treatment For Scan Result Suggestive Of PID

Am 26 ad married.here are my scan results, normal size uterus measuring 38.1mm,the endometrial lining is ill defined,a cystic swelling measuring 30mmx24.1mm in diameter, pouch of Douglas contains significant collection suggestive of PID.pls doc what can I do? Am confused.i can t even get pregnant. Thanks.

Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the report indicative of pelvic inflammatory condition and ovarian cyst is due to bacterial infection with hormone changes underlying. This condition is totally curative and you will be able to conceive once the things are under control. My guidelines at present:
- Do not get panic with the report
- Discuss all possible management protocols with your OBGYN for current cure and future pregnancy possibilities
- Need a cervical swab for culture sensitivity to identify chlamydia, gonorrhea or other bacterial infections
- Hormone therapy to dissolve the tiny ovarian cyst, which takes around 2-3 months duration and usually does not need any surgery
- Consume balanced nutritious diet to boost your immunity
- Control of body weight, blood sugar

Be remain in regular follow up with your doctor with positive attitude and get best results ahead.
